How much does #1 cost? We know. You don’t.
There is a number at the top of the leaderboard. It’s the total paid by whoever is in first place, and it’s the only figure that matters if you want to be there instead. We aren’t going to tell you what it is.
That isn’t us being difficult. It’s the rule the whole board runs on.
The rule
You can see what someone paid only if you paid the same or more. Pay $1 and you unlock every $1 entry. Pay $50 and you unlock everything up to $50. Whoever is above you stays blacked out.
So the only person who can read the price of first place off the board is the person holding it.
How to find out anyway
- 01
Pay something.
Any amount from $1. You get a rank, and you see how many rows are still redacted above you.
- 02
Pay a bit more.
Payments with the same email add up. Each one moves you up and unlocks the amounts you’ve passed.
- 03
Keep going until nothing is redacted.
When every amount on the board is visible to you, you’re #1, and now you know what it cost. It was whatever you just paid.
What we will tell you
- 01
The minimum is $1.
It always has been.
- 02
There are more than thirty spots taken.
The exact count is for people who’ve paid.
- 03
Ties go to whoever got there first.
Matching #1 makes you #2. You have to pay more.
- 04
First place is not permanent.
If someone passes you, your account page says so.
Questions
- How much do I need to pay to be #1?
- More than the current #1 has paid in total. That amount is visible only to people who have paid at least as much.
- Can I see what #1 paid without paying that much?
- No. Paying unlocks only the amounts at or below your own total.
- What happens if I match #1 exactly?
- You become #2. Ties go to whoever reached the amount first.
